People Soft ERP System Administrator 45.00-50.00/hour

The PeopleSoft System Administrator will help manage PeopleSoft environments including SDK installation, upgrades, patches, replication, change assistant, data refreshes, performance tuning, and monitoring of Database, Web and Application servers. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and stabilization of PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM in a 9.2 environment.

  • Perform the installation, upgrade and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications, databases, middleware and servers which includes installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches and conducting database migrations, refreshes and restores.
  • Functions as part of the team to architect, test, implement and enhance PeopleSoft systems and applications to meet dynamic business needs. Performs complex configuration, change management and testing activities to support a service-oriented architecture and integration between all applications.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical problems with PeopleSoft systems to include application, database and server problems.
  • Manages the integrity of security design and engineering for PeopleSoft applications and systems, including the implementation of backup and recovery processes. Administers PeopleSoft systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Determines future growth requirements of the applications in areas such as database size, the number of end-users and application functionality; works with other information technology professionals to address application capacity needs.
  • Ensures the performance and reliability of PeopleSoft systems by monitoring these systems for high availability, load balancing and satisfactory response time and working with other information technology professionals to resolve performance issues.
  • Monitors application and database performance provides recommendations for enhancements/changes and makes database table changes/additions to packaged software applications.
  • Using in-house developed or third-party tools and processes, assist in management of code deployments
  • Provides programming/scripting assistance to support PeopleSoft system automation; debugs and tunes/optimizes SQL statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • PeopleSoft v9.2
  • Experience performing PeopleSoft DPK installations
  • PeopleCode v8.5
  • 5 years experience working in Oracle database environment
  • 5 years experience in PeopleSoft HR, Procurement and/or Financials applications
  • Hands on experience in PeopleSoft security configuration and management
  • Hands on experience with configuration and usage of PeopleSoft integration/interface tools (Integration Broker, Component Interface, App Engine, web services, etc.)
  • Hands on experience in PeopleSoft Change Management practices (PUM, Change Assistant, etc.)
  • 5 years application administration experience

Application Systems Analyst/Programmer $45.00 per hour 

  • Location: Downtown Houston 
  • Shift: Mon-Fri 
  • Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Designs, codes, tests and debugs documents and maintains those programs.
  • Works on all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
  • Occasionally provides guidance to less experienced analysts and/or programmers. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be comfortable making decisions and recommending alternative approaches; identifying and resolving the conflict. Excellent organizational and analytical skills are essential.
  • Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments/agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of programming/systems analysis experience
  • Experience implementing object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with relational databases

Programmer Analyst $35-38/hour

  • Location: Downtown
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00p.m.-5:00p.m.
  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum 4 years of work experience in software development.
  • 3+ years of experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and 3+ years of experience in relational database.
  • Must have a high level of competency in programming in the use of, but not limited to, Visual Studio .NET 2008, MVC Framework, ASP.NET, C#NET, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, AJAX, and other high-level languages.
  • Must be skilled in working with Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), designing web page layout and creating user navigation flow.
