Job Description: 
Investigates, resolves and provides prompt technical support in the areas of software, hardware, telephones, data and operating systems to meet data processing and information needs for county departments, including internal network access and Internet access.


High school diploma or equivalent required.  Associates Degree in Computer Science or other related field is preferred.


  • Two years of general computer installation, maintenance and report experience OR and equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e. one year of course work or recognized computer technology certification, plus one year of work experience). 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows Server (2012 R2 & 2016), as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking. 
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment, and customer service. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both, written and oral.
  • Strong desktop support troubleshooting capabilities.


  • Receives help desk calls and provides technical support to CSD users
  • Proficient at supporting the Microsoft Office software family of products and Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems
  • Performs daily troubleshooting of computers, printers, scanners, A/V systems, and other technology devices
  • Performs basic management of Active Directory including users, groups, computers, and organizational units.
  • Strong systems analysis and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Ability to stay organized and keep accurate records of computer/mobile equipment
  • File client records according to subject matter or other designed system.
  • Assists with setup of office furniture to include personal computers and printers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Assists IT team with development, maintenance, testing, and execution of disaster recovery plans
  • Must have a Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Job Description : Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

  • Designs, codes, tests and debugs documents and maintains those programs.
  • Works on all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
  • Occasionally provides guidance to less experienced analysts and/or programmers. Performs other duties as assigned.
